RM Codeplugs Vs. RM Templates

(Glossary)

RM Codeplugs contain Template feature values and Non-Template feature values. RM Templates can be applicable to multiple RM radio codeplugs (see Select Template). Non-Template radio-specific feature values such as Radio IDs and IP Addresses are maintained independently within the RMC's Radio View, System View, and Data Profiles View.

RM Template values are able to be modified from the main CPS user-interface, which is launched with the “Edit Template” selection (see Manage Templates). Template values are view-only throughout the Radio Management Client's many Views.

When a CPS Codeplug is loaded into Radio Management (RM) (see Adding Radios and Importing Radios) codeplug values become either Template feature values or Non-Template feature values.

A Codeplug (CPS or RM) is also the name for a solid state chip inside a radio where the radio's personality data is stored.

Radio must not be referencing an old template. If a radio is referencing an old template, it is a reference from a pending radio and the pending radio is referencing two templates concurrently.
